Company History
Bakels has been a prime mover in the Philippine baking industry for over three decades -- offering an extensive line of premium bakery ingredients; supporting business partners with highly specialized technical services; and leading the industry in market innovation and product development.
The Bakels brand was first introduced in the Philippine market thru an exclusive local agent in the late '70s.
Several years later, a multinational group took over the local business for Bakels products as an exclusive agent. This venture was supported with a dedicated sales force, an R&D Team with a well-equipped Test Bakery, and an extensive distribution infrastructure that covered the entire archipelago. The succeeding years saw the evolution of various Bakels products, notably Dobrim High Speed and Ovalett, as market leaders in the local baking industry.
In October 2003, Bakels Philippines, Inc. commenced local operations as a member of the International Bakels Group.
